The Working Group 2 on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights addresses the issues of:

  • right to food
  • right to health
  • right to water
  • right to electricity
  • right to housing
  • right to work and social security
  • right to leisure
  • right to education
  • right to property
  • right to an adequate standard of living
  • right to participate in cultural life
  • ethnic diversity and human rights
  • rights of migrant workers and members of their families
  • human rights education
  • freedom of competition
  • GMOs and respect for the right to consumption
  • tradition and respect for human rights.

This working group's role is to assist the Chairperson of the NCHRF in decision-making. It has an average of seven members and headed by a Chairperson who is assisted by a rapporteur.
It is composed of the following members:
